Our History
The company was was established in 1991 as a sole proprietorship. In the end of 1992 we began importing casings for the meat processing industry and that was our main business until 1997. In the same year we began importing some types of offals and meat cuts. Since 2008, in order to maintain our leadership in the natural caings market, we started direct imports of sheep casings from the Middle East, beef casings from South America and hog casings from China and West Europe. Currently, our company can offer competitive prices not only on the Bulgarian, but also on the European market.
In early 2000, in response to market demand, we established a relationship with RAPS & CO GmbH – Austria, as one of the leaders in the spice blend market in Europe. After three years of fruitful work, we signed a contract for exclusive rights to distribute RAPS & CO. GmbH products in Bulgaria, as well as for technological assistance from leading Austrian and German technologists.

In the years since 2003, the sales growth of RAPS products in Bulgaria has increased annually by no less than 20%. On the other hand, sales of natural casings and by-products have remained stable, which has led to a shortage of warehouse space. Due to Bulgaria’s accession to the EU, the hygienic requirements for the storage of the products we offer have increased. Therefore, in January 2006, we established the company “SK” JSC. The company inherited what has been achieved so far and in 2007 began the construction of a new base in the village of Mramor – Sofia.
Today we would like to note with pleasure that for the third year the warehouse has been operating at full capacity. It has fully covered the requirements of EU Regulation 852/2004/EEC, as well as the regulatory framework of our country and operates under veterinary number BG 2203016 EO. Now all our clients and partners can be sure that the goods received from the company “SK” JSC are of high quality and safe for use in production throughout the EU.
